Is it ok if I have never been involved with a website project before?
Of course! You will be working with a project manager who will work with you from the start of your project until it launches. Your project manager will walk you through each phase, and provide answers to all of your questions. Due to this, our clients need to know very little about design and development when they start on a website with QualityXpressGraphix.

How long will it take to get a website designed and developed?
Assuming we have no delays we can typically go from discovery to delivery within six to eight weeks of engaging on a project. Of course if there are a high number of pages to the site, extensive amounts of Flash, or feature development it can take longer to complete. It is best to ask your project or account manager for an estimate for your individual site.

What is stock photography?
Photographers will sometimes sell their work with the understanding that they will be broadly distributed. Stock photography is photography or other imagery of common landmarks, objects, concepts, people, and events that can be used and reused for a variety of commercial purposes, including websites. We have subscriptions to several stock photography libraries which we use to provide imagery for websites when needed to enhance a design.

What is flash animation?
Flash is the software application that uses action script in your website’s code. Action Script allows developers to create sites that have moving parts. Oftentimes flash can be used to bring your site to life. Image transitions, scrolling messages, mouse-over design changes, animated banners, even clickable icons that move and respond are some of the things being done with this technology.

We recommend creating websites that use flash with subtlety. Pages can come to life with the slideshow of great images. Moving elements can leave an imprint on the mind of your visitor that brings them back.

How much content should I provide for my homepage?
Determining how much you say on your site can have as much of an impact as what you choose to say. We strive for a clean aesthetic on a site that is easy to use. Homepages should say what they need to say simply and with impact. Secondary or internal pages can contain more text to support the goals of the website.

Do I have to have QXG provide my hosting in addition to the website work?
We offer our clients 100% autonomy when it comes to hosting control and file ownership. We are comfortable working with most hosting providers, and we can continue to maintain your site after launch as well.

What type of hosting plan should I obtain?
Sites with content management software and/or administration tools require will a hosting plan that can accommodate the need for stored information or a database. Sites which will be transmitting private customer related data will also need an SSL Certificate that will enable us to encrypt and secure the site data while it is in transit. It is best to ask your project manager for a recommendation during the discovery phase of your project.

Will QualityXpressGraphix assist me with my website after it goes live?
We proudly stand behind all of our work and offer a standard 30 day warranty after your website is launched. If you need changes or updates made to your site which fall outside of your warranty, we are happy to provide a quote for another phase of work or provide updates at our hourly billing rate.
